Bombeiros de MG pousam em Moçambique para ajudar atingidos do ciclone idai
Os militares irão ajudar nas buscas e operações de salvamento das vítimas do ciclone Idai
Nesta segunda-feira (1), os 20 militares do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Minas Gerais (CBMMG), acompanhados de 20 homens da Força Nacional Brasileira (FNB), pousaram no Aeroporto Internacional de Beira, na Província de Sofala, em Moçambique, às 12h48 do horário local (7h48 do horário de Brasília).
Segundo a Corporação, a chegada sofreu atraso devido à problemas técnicos do voo. A tropa chegou bem e foi recebida pelo Coronel de Artilharia Moisés da Paixão Júnior, do Exército Brasileiro, e pelo Ministro Embaixador, Carlos Alfonso Iglesias Puente.
Os Bombeiros embarcaram para o país na noite da última sexta-feira (29).
Os militares devem ficar em média 15 dias no local para ajudar nas operações de busca e salvamento. Moçambique foi atingido pelo ciclone Idai, que deixou centenas de mortos e desabrigados, no dia 18 de março. A cidade de Beira ficou 90% destruída. Zimbábue e o Malawi também foram atingidos pelo ciclone.
