Rua Rio Grande do Sul com a Rua Goiás terá semáforo a partir do dia 8
A Prefeitura de Divinópolis implanta, na Rua Rio Grande do Sul com a Rua Goiás, um semáforo para aumentar a segurança dos pedestres e dos condutores. O equipamento começa a funcionar na segunda-feira (08/04).
Segundo a Secretaria Municipal de Trânsito e Transportes (Settrans), o semáforo começou a ser instalado no mês passado. Foram realizadas obras de acessibilidade e faixas de pedestres na via central. “Na quarta-feira, começa funcionar o semáforo em modo piscante e fica até as 23h59 de domingo. O equipamento entra no sincronismo da linha verde a partir da zero hora de segunda-feira”, afirmou o gerente de Projetos, Trânsito e Transportes de Divinópolis, Lucas Lopes.
De acordo com o gerente, o fluxo crescente e a dificuldade da travessia dos pedestres foram decisivos para instalação do equipamento na via. “A Rua Rio Grande do Sul é uma via larga, e os pedestres têm dificuldade de atravessá-la. Também no horário de pico, o fluxo de veículos é grande. Com o semáforo, será uma segurança grande para todos”, destacou Lucas.
